Secretariat

In 2020, the Dairy Asia Secretariat Office was established in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, supported by the Government of Mongolia and FAO. The Secretariat functions will be primarily performed by the DA Coordinator/CEO, who is based in the Dairy Asia Secretariat Office at the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry in Mongolia.

The regular functions include:

1. Coordinate the organizational level decision-making.
2. Provide the liaison between various arms of the platform, i.e., with knowledge partners and sponsors, the private sector, and other potential stakeholders.
3. Provide administrative and logistics support for platform activities.
4. Coordinate activities of ad-hoc technical working groups.
5. Provide communication infrastructure and products.
6. Process documentation and minister membership.
7. Maintain Dairy Asia email account, webpage, and social media channels.
8. Organize virtual or physical meetings and related activities.
9. Process annual budget, work plan, and projects, and manage financial resources.
10. Implement Steering Committee decisions.
11. Develop a strategy for long-term sustainable growth of the platform.
