The delegation actively contributed to the conference program through several presentations:
Mr. Batbaatar Bayarmagnai provided an overview of Dairy Asia’s strategic initiatives. These include the establishment of the World Yak Association and the World Bactrian Camel Association in Mongolia, the development of a camel milk cluster, and the promotion of Asian Milk Week in conjunction with World Milk Day, outlining planned future actions for these programs.
Dr. Jeerasak Chobtang presented on the topic of public-private cooperation in Thailand, highlighting nutritional interventions designed to enhance the productivity of smallholder dairy farmers.
Mr. Enkhbileg Gonchig detailed the current state of the Mongolian dairy sector. His presentation covered relevant government policies, such as a milk cash-incentive program to strengthen the winter milk supply chain, and the national “Food Revolution” initiative, including its dairy sector activities and opportunities for international cooperation.
On the sidelines of the conference, Mr. Batbaatar Bayarmagnai held a meeting with Ms. Laurence Rycken, the newly appointed Director General of the IDF. The discussions focused on the current knowledge partnership between Dairy Asia and the IDF and explored avenues for future collaboration to advance shared objectives in the regional dairy sector.
