Meeting Convened for Newly Appointed Ambassadors of Mongolia

ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA – On August 30, 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly convened a meeting for newly appointed Ambassadors who will represent Mongolia in 21 foreign countries.

The Dairy Asia Secretariat participated in this meeting and delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining its core objectives, ongoing activities, and a series of cooperation proposals for the ambassadors’ consideration. The presentation highlighted that Dairy Asia’s current membership comprises Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, the Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Vietnam. A key strategic priority for the platform is to expand its membership into North-East Asia, as well as Central and West Asia.

To support this expansion, the Dairy Asia Secretariat emphasized the importance of future collaboration with the Mongolian Ambassadors designated to the following countries: the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, the Republic of Singapore, the State of Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Japan, the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and the Republic of Korea.

Furthermore, it was noted that the Dairy Asia Secretariat, in partnership with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia, will jointly organize a consultative meeting entitled “Dairy Asia Perspective” on October 7, 2021. This event will be held in commemoration of the 60th anniversary of Mongolia’s accession to the United Nations.
