Press conference for World Milk Day

The Press Conference commemorating World Milk Day was jointly organized by the Dairy Asia Secretariat, the FAO Mongolia, and the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry of Mongolia. The event was attended by Mr. Batbaatar Bayarmagnai, CEO and Coordinator of Dairy Asia; Mr. D. Dovchinsuren, Director General of the Food Production Policy Implementation and Coordination Department at the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, and Light Industry, and Dairy Asia Focal Point for Mongolia; Ms. B. Enkhtuya, Chairperson of the Mongolian Dairy Board; and Mr. B. Jadambaa, Executive Director of the Mongolian Dairy Farmers’ Association.

During the press conference, Mr. Batbaatar provided an overview of the Asian dairy sector and introduced the Dairy Asia initiative, “Asian Milk Week,” established to promote World Milk Day. He underscored that Asia, being the largest and most populous continent and a leading region in milk production, serves as a fitting context for this initiative. As part of Asian Milk Week, the Dairy Asia Secretariat organized a series of thematic events, for which Mr. Batbaatar expressed gratitude to all Dairy Asia knowledge partners and co-organizers. The schedule of events was as follows:
